2020-2021 Theme: Is This the Country the Founders Envisioned
This contest is open to all students, including home-schooled students, in grades 9-12. The student must be a resident of the state where they entered. One Department winner will be forwarded to VFW National Headquarters. Please pay close attention to the rules and eligibility requirements of the contest to avoid disqualifications. Your information packets should be in schools in August, so teachers can plan to include the contest in their lesson plans.
DEADLINES:
- VFW Post/Auxiliary- No later than November 1st
- District Chairman- No later than November 15th
- Department- No later than December 1st
REMINDERS:
One (1) winner may be submitted for every 15 entries received.
All entries submitted to District for judging must include:
- Entry on CD/flash drive
- Completed entry form with ALL required signatures
- Post VOD Participation Summary Report form
- One head & shoulder photograph
