To continue to have the State of Texas VFW Auxiliary be strong and active, mentors will be available to assist the membership to have confidence in their leadership roles which will enhance all types of program activities and participation.
As mentors, we will extend the hand of friendship to those who have been inactive or those just needing a bit of encouragement. We will build strong relationships. We will assist in communicating and motivating members to better understand the organization.
Everyone has at least one person they look to for help to guide them through the journey they are on. Who is your R.O.C.K.?

We will always have our Podium Book available to share the bylaws and ritual. We will attend meetings and offer other times to meet with individuals who need extra help. We will be available to the auxiliaries for assistance with training.
We will be a TEAM. –
We will listen, watch, and be there for where we are called. We will encourage all members to be proud of their skills and accomplishments. We will ensure there is a positive member experience. We will offer learning opportunities and develop member confidence.
Mentoring for Leadership resource materials may be found at vfwauxiliary.org/resources.
We will communicate with the Department Chief of Staff and the President when we are notified –
of concerns. We will discuss issues amongst the team to hear all approaches before immediate decisions can be made.
